Every year there are thousands of reports of people who see UFOs, but not many places to spend money to investigate such claims. However, in Europe it is only a state team, dedicated to this issue. Do they detect something French?

You do not need a car to travel in time when visiting the headquarters of the French Space Center in Toulouse.
Here you feel like you are in the 70s.
It is almost a Soviet style in the center of the south of France. There are few signs of life there, although 1500 people, mainly civil servants, working in offices as boxes.
France has the largest space agency in -EUROPE result of spatial competition in the 60s and determination of President Charles de Gaulle of France held independently from the US to build its satellites, rocket launchers and offering elite scientific research in space.
In addition, France is the only country in Europe to have a state department full time, dedicated UFO. There was one also in Britain and Denmark, but closed years ago due to budget cuts.
French Unit UFOs consists of a staff of four people and dozens of volunteers, paid to go to the scene and investigate reports of strange objects in the sky.
The team called Geipan and is an acronym for Research and Information Group of unidentified phenomena in space.
Head is Xavier Passo.
Surrounded by dozens of books on UFOs and many folders with documents, he tells me that his mission is to be transparent as much as possible about the unknown objects and to follow closely any case.
They publish their results on the website, which receives 30 thousand visits per month.
The team takes on average two information about UFOs every day.
A 11-page form completed for each case.
The idea is to provide information and details, including photos when possible.
If someone claims to have seen strange lights in the sky, the team put online to see if this has happened in a flight corridor and tracks air traffic for more than a week.
The team has also access to military air corridors and is in contact with the air force and air traffic controllers.
Sometimes, when the staff is really intrigued by the photos that have seen or where there are several witnesses who saw the same thing, they call the police and ask if they can be considered reliable.
They can check with neighbors to see if that night they were drunk or smoked anything other than cigarettes.
Passo says many people who come into contact with them, are fumigant substances that make something such night out, seeing stars.
In boxes of archives information dating back to the 1950s Letters that look scary contain evidence of strange things in the sky that have faced military pilots routine reconnaissance missions.
For what it's worth, and those who doubt that there is any conspiracy, Passo me that he did not cover never seen a case where a UFO.
See some fantastic photos of strange lights and circular objects captured on camera. One, fired from a driver, shows a white circle in Marseille and looks very interesting. But the team says there are invaders from Mars, but simply the reflection of a small light on the car.
In fact, the department can explain all these phenomena, and believe it or not, in most cases these Chinese lanterns, night issued during various holidays. Often investigators call the local authorities to find out if there were any wedding at the time.
Various balloons often seem alien objects and spatial residues or falling meteorites are much more common than thought.
But there are at least 400 reports of UFO, dating back to the '70s, which can not be explained by the French team. One speaks of a flying saucer, cut in 1981, which was received very seriozisht- had signs of decreasing and several witnesses.
But are there really people and small green? Well, I can not talk about colors, but there are many who work here, like others around the world, who are convinced that there is a life form over there.
But unimpressed taxpayers au French search for UFOs in tough budgetary constraints?
It probably depends on whether you have seen any, or to use the words of the movie "Ghostbusters", who would you call?
